Program: Wildlife Ecology Research: Rensselaerville, New York.
Description: Wildlife Ecology Research is an intensive three week program where rising juniors and seniors learn basic ecological principles through hands-on research experience. Ecologist from colleges and universities around the country instruct students on population, community, physiological, disease and behavioral ecology using a diverse array of wildlife and standard research techniques. Wildlife Ecology Research culminates in rigorous small group research projects where students develop and implement research projects from hypothesis to final paper. This program aims to provide a significant academic experience that will help students prepare for courses and research experiences at the college level.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify interesting and important research topics and create research protocols using the scientific method
- Understand and implement common field techniques for sampling plant and animal populations. Demonstrate a variety of methods for data collection, analysis and interpretation
- Define and discuss seven major topics in field ecology including: ecosystem, community, population, behavioral, physiological, disease and evolutionary ecology
- Identify prevalent species comprising the main areas of study, and demonstrate effective use of field guides and dichotomous keys
- Prepare written and oral reports of his or her research

Program: SummerTech Computer Camp, New York
Description: SummerTech Computer Camp is an educational and fun experience for boys and girls ages 8-17. We offer weeklong courses in computer programming (C#, C++ and Java), Flash animation, web design, game design and Machinima. Each of our courses can be taken for multiple weeks without repeating any content. Our staff is both home grown from former campers who rise to the top as our most talented leaders and enhanced with top college students who excel in their specific areas.
SummerTech is a forum where a child can feel comfortable with whom they are so that they have the opportunity to be fully self-expressed. Our curriculum is sophisticated and flexible to meet the needs of each and every camper individually.
SummerTech is also well known for our competitive and casual gaming atmosphere. Take part in nightly and weekly game tournaments as every night is a LAN party. All day campers are invited to stay until 9pm each night at no extra cost.

Description: Summer@Rensselaer offers various academic enrichment programs on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Day enrichment programs are available for elementary, middle and high school students. Residential enrichment programs are available for high school students. All the summer programs are designed and taught by Rensselaer faculty members. Programs include daily on-campus classroom preparation, lab experience, tours, visits with faculty and admissions counselors, hands-on projects and interactions with current undergraduate and graduate students. Summer residential enrichment programs allow high school students the chance to participate in non credit programs that Build Their Future. In addition Rensselaer invites pre-college age students to attend a RPI Sports Camp, Taught by RPI Coaches, to stimulate their minds and exercise their bodies. Rensselaer has 23 varsity teams, both men’s and women’s sports. The men’s and women’s hockey team competes at the Division I level. The remaining teams play in Division III. Description: In Ithaca College's residential pre-college summer program, high school students experience college life and college-level courses while living in a safe environment. The College has two program offerings (one-week or three-week), each with courses designed and reserved expressly for pre-college students.
The three-week summer college program is for talented students who have completed their sophomore or junior year in high school. Students who have just completed their senior year are also eligible.
