Description: Welcome to Jr. Discovery, unique 3 week summer enrichment experiences for teenagers completing grades 6, 7 and 8. At Jr. Discovery, learning is everywhere - in the classroom, dorm room, dining hall, on-stage, the tennis court or ball field, on trips and excursions, and the daily interaction between peers, dynamic teachers and Resident Counselors.
Since 1966, the Musiker Family has been directing outstanding educational experiences for teenagers. As parents ourselves, we realize middle school students are at an important crossroads in their development. Life poses many new challenges, opportunities, emotions, and rewards. Jr. Discovery is designed to facilitate a positive transition from adolescence to young adulthood, and from middle school to high school. Our innovative Skills for Mind and Body curriculum inspires independent thinking, creativity, personal growth, self-confidence, time management and life skills.
Additionally, through cooperative living and positive mentoring by a superb group of Resident Counselors, our students experience the finest, caring supervision, group dynamics, and mutual respect.

Discovery Internships is powered by the expertise and experience of two leading summer program providers, Musiker Summer Discovery and Dream Careers. Summer Discovery has directed award-winning programs for high school students for over 40 years. Dream Careers is the leading provider of college internship programs worldwide, and has placed more than 10,000 interns over the past decade.
The Discovery Internships program is an all-inclusive summer internship experience. In addition to gaining hands-on, career-focused learning opportunities, participants explore and live in an exciting city. A meal plan, 24-hour staff supervision and mentoring, and a host of cultural, recreational, and other community events and excursions around the city are all included.

Program: Summer@Rensselaer: New York
Description: Summer@Rensselaer offers various academic enrichment programs on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Day enrichment programs are available for elementary, middle and high school students. Residential enrichment programs are available for high school students. All the summer programs are designed and taught by Rensselaer faculty members. Programs include daily on-campus classroom preparation, lab experience, tours, visits with faculty and admissions counselors, hands-on projects and interactions with current undergraduate and graduate students. Summer residential enrichment programs allow high school students the chance to participate in non credit programs that Build Their Future. In addition Rensselaer invites pre-college age students to attend a RPI Sports Camp, Taught by RPI Coaches, to stimulate their minds and exercise their bodies. Rensselaer has 23 varsity teams, both men’s and women’s sports. The men’s and women’s hockey team competes at the Division I level. The remaining teams play in Division III. Rensselaer is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the ECACHL, NYSWCAA, and the Liberty League. Each summer program will be individually priced.
