ProgramWashington University High School Summer Scholars Program:  St. Louis, Missouri
Description:  This program enables high school students to attend Washington University in St. Louis for five weeks in the summer.  Students may enroll in up to seven units of college coursework and will participate in a myriad of social activities.  For self-motivated, adventurous students, this program can be a perfect stepping-stone to the next stage of their education.
Participants:  Students who have completed 11th grade by the summer.

Program: Academy by the Sea:  Southern California
Description
The five-week Academy by the Sea program offers courses that can be taken for remedial credit or enrichment.  This is a co-ed Program held on a residential campus.

Program: Barnard Pre-College Summer Program:  Broadway, New York
Description:  This program offers summer academic courses adapted from the undergraduate curriculum in a variety of subject areas.
Participants:  Students who have completed 10th or 11th grade by the summer.

Program:  Boston University High School Summer Honors Program:  Boston, Massachusetts
Description:  This program has two different options for students.   The General Honors Programs enables students to take two six week undergraduate courses and earn Boston University credits.  Students can choose from a variety of course options.  Another option is the Research Internship in Science and Engineering in which students participate in research with the mentorship of a faculty research scientist.
Participants:  Students who have completed 11th grade.

Program: Brown University Summer Studies Program:  Providence, Rhode Island
Description:  Brown University offers various summer studies programs for students including:  seven-week courses, mini-courses, a leadership institute, a theatre program, and an exploration of language and culture.
Participants:  High school students (different programs have separate requirements).

Program: Carnegie Mellon Pre-College Program:  A Summer of Exploration:  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to explore and gain experience in an area of interest including: architecture, art, design, drama, or music.
Participants:  Students who have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by the summer.

Program: Carnegie Mellon Pre-College ProgramAdvanced Placement/Early Action Program:  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Description:  The Advanced Placement/Early Action program provides students with the opportunity to take college-level courses.  Courses are offered in the areas of science, engineering, computer science, humanities, and social sciences.  Students may be able to earn college credit through the courses taken in this program.
Participants:  Students who have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by the summer.

Program: Choate Summer Programs:  Wallingford, Connecticut
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to take courses in variety of areas.  Programs include math and science workshops, The John F. Kennedy Institute in Government, The English Language Institute, immersion courses (language, math), and the writing project.  Students may be able to earn advanced credit.
Participants:  Students who have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.

Program: Cornell University Summer College Program:  Ithaca, New York
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to take college-level academic courses in various fields (i.e. architecture, business, medicine…).
Participants:  Students who have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by the summer.

Program: Earlham Explore-A-College:  Richmond, Indiana
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to take courses taught by Earlham college faculty members.  Students learn the course content as well as college-level study and research skills.  The program also provides a variety of social activities for students outside of the classroom.
Participants:  9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.

Program: Georgetown University Summer College for High School Juniors:  Washington D.C.
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to take undergraduate level courses based on their interests and their academic background.  A variety of course options are available.
Participants:  Students who have completed the 10th or 11th grade by the summer.

Program: George Washington University Summer Scholars Program:  Washington, D.C.
Description:  This program gives students exposure to college-level course work by offering mini-courses and extended courses in a variety of subject areas.
Participants:  Students who have completed the 9th, 10th, or 11th grade by the summer.

Program: Gettysburg College Experiential Summer Academic Camps:  Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Description:  This program offers two sessions for students to explore subject areas  such as: creative writing, the Civil War, astronomy, service and leadership, Spanish language and culture, psychology, and college preparation and preview.
Participants:  Rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students.

Program: Harvard Summer Secondary School Program:  Boston, Massachusetts
Description:  This program offers an eight week session in which students experience life at Harvard University by taking college-level courses.
Participants:  Students who have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by the summer.

Program:  Summer Scholars at Loyal University Chicago: Chicago, Illinois
Description:  This program enables high school students to enroll in undergraduate courses at Loyola University Chicago and to earn college credits.  There are variety of courses available for students.  In addition to taking courses, students can take part extramural activities in areas such as cultural arts, sports, and service based activities in Chicago.  Pre-collegiate students in this program also have the opportunity to meet with advisors and admissions staff members at Loyola University Chicago.
Participants:  Students who have completed their sophomore or junior year of high school

Program: Miami University Juniors Scholars Program: Oxford, Ohio
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to take college-level courses at Miami University.  Students can choose courses from a variety of subject areas.  Students may be able to gain admission into the university through their performance in these courses.
Participants:  Students will have completed the 11th grade by the summer.

Program: Michigan Math and Science Scholar Program:  Ann Arbor, Michigan
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to explore current research and developments in the areas of mathematics and science.  Students take courses in subject areas relating to math and science and have the opportunity to gain hand-on experiences in research and computer laboratories as well as to participate in field work with professors.
Participants:  High school students.

Program: Northwestern University Pre-College Summer Program:  Evanston, Illinois
Description:  This program provides students with the opportunity to take college-level courses in a variety of subject areas.  Students may earn college credit for the courses taken in the program.  Students also have the opportunity to take a college writing tutorial, which helps them to prepare for college-level writing and to write their college application essay.
Participants:  The program is designed for students who have completed the 11th grade by the summer, but students who have completed 10th grade may apply.

Program: National High School Institute at Northwestern University:  Evanston, Illinois
Description:  This program features in-depth study with college faculty in one of the following divisions:  music, journalism, film-production, theatre-arts, debate, and forensics-individual (competitive speech).  There are also two adjunct divisions:  championship debate and junior statesmen.
Participants:  The age/grade requirement for participation varies depending on the program of interest.

Program: Stanford University Summer College:  Stanford, California
Description:  In this program, students have the opportunity to take college-level courses in areas such as science, the arts, business, humanities, and languages.  The program also offers special features such as the Success Series Workshops which helps students prepare their college applications and gain skills to help with the transition to college.
Participants:  The program is designed for 11th and 12th grade students, but applications are accepted from 10th graders.
