University Summer Science, Engineering, and Architecture Enrichment Program:
Clemson, South Carolina
Description: This program is designed for gifted students to learn
about and explore the fields of science and architecture. Students can
participate in a variety of high interest courses and activities to learn in
depth information in areas of interest. There are also a variety of social
and cultural activities for students to participate in while on the campus.
Participants: This program is designed for gifted middle and high
school students.

Program: Cleveland State Summer Honors
Institute: Cleveland, Ohio
Description: This program is an Ohio Summers Honors Institute
that is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Education. The program has
is focused on problem solving and students will learn about and participate
in activities in the following areas: the flying circle of physics,
mathematical kaleidoscope, and making connections. Tuition is free for
eligible students (this is a commuter program)

Program: Cub Creek Science Camp: Rolla,
Missouri
Description: Cub Creek Science Camp provides unique
opportunities for students to learn about and gain experience working with
animals. The program has a science camp, a zoo camp, an animal camp,
and a Jr. Vet program for students. Students can choose from many
different activities available within this program.

Engineering Innovation:

Description: This program gives students the opportunity to
learn about and explore the field of engineering. Students are provided
with hands-on experiences to help them understand engineering concepts and
fields of study.

High School Engineering Institute
at Michigan State University: East Lansing, Michigan
Description: This program provides students with the
opportunity to learn about various aspects of the field of engineering.
Students learn about the broad concepts related to engineering and also
explore various specializations and career fields within the field of
engineering.
Participants: Students who have completed 9th, 10th, 11th
grade by the summer.

University: Columbus, Ohio
Description: This program introduces students to concepts in
the field of engineering and provides hand-on experiences related to the
field of engineering.

Program: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Description: This program provides students with the
opportunity to explore current research and developments in the areas of
mathematics and science. Students take courses in subject areas relating to
math and science and have the opportunity to gain hand-on experiences in
research and computer laboratories as well as to participate in field work
with professors.

Supercomputing Summer Honors
Institute: Columbus, Ohio
Description: This program is an Ohio Summers Honors Institute
that is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Education. The program
provides students with the opportunity learn about and gain practical
experience in the field of computer systems and computer networking. Tuition is
free for eligible students (residential students pay for room and board)

Program: PAVE Program at Vanderbilt
University: Nashville, Tennessee
Description: This is a six week program designed for students
who are planning to enter an engineering, pre-medical, science, or
technology program in college.
Participants: Students who have completed the 11th grade by the

Ohio State University: Columbus, Ohio
Description: This is an intensive program designed for
students to explore various concepts in mathematics and to promote
mathematical thinking.
Participants: Students from ages 14-18.

Program: Sleuths Summer Science Program at
Ohio Wesleyan University: Delaware, Ohio
Description: The Sleuths Summer Science Program is a one-week
summer residential camp for students interested in the sciences: biology,
chemistry, geology, physics, and mathematics. Students have the
opportunity to interact with professors, to participate in hands-on
scientific activities and to learn about career fields in science.
Participants: Rising high school juniors and seniors.

Engineering Program: Northampton, Massachusetts
Description: This program provides high school students to
learn about a variety of interesting topics within the fields of science and
engineering.
Participants: Female students entering grades 9, 10, 11, and
12.

Program: Stone Laboratory Summer Science Opportunities:
Lake Erie, Ohio
Description: The Ohio State University’s Stone Laboratory Summer Program
enables students to gain practical experience in the field of science during
the summer. The Stone Lab Program provides students with the opportunity to
take interesting science related courses and participate in hands-on
science activities at its Lake Erie location. Students can take courses
such as the introduction to aquatic biology, the introduction to the
study of birds, and field based introduction to oceanography.
Students may also be able to earn course credits for these courses.
Participants: To participate in this program, students are
required to have completed the 10th
grade, be at least 15 years old, and have completed at least one high school
biology course.

Description: This program is designed to help female students
learn about the field of engineering. Students participate in hands-on
activities, learn about career fields in engineering, and meet women who are
working in the field of engineering.

Program: Spectrum Program: Case Western Reserve University
Description: A three-week program (June 29-July 18) of advanced high
school study for academically talented students held in partnership with
Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development. 2008 Courses:
Algebra I/Algebra II / Geometry (self-paced), Creative Writing, Forensic
Science, Persuasion and Debate: Globalization, Robotics.

Program: Equinox Program: Case Western Reserve
University
Description: A three-week program (June 29-July 18) of advanced
study for academically talented students held in partnership with
Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development. 2008 Courses:
Algebra II / Precalculus (self-paced), Chemistry, Computer Game Design,
Engineering, Genetics & Biotechnology, International Relations, Journalism,
Philosophy, Sociology.

Program: Digital
Media Academy: Locations include: Stanford University, University
of Texas, UC San Diego, Hartsville South Carolina, South Burlington Vermont,
and Hayward California.
Description: The Digital Media Academy has a large variety of
courses related to video technology. Samples courses include:
extreme sports video production, documentary film making, final cut pro
advanced editing techniques, 3D game creation, and digital photography.
Participants: Kids camps: ages 9-13, Teen camps: ages 13-18.

Program:
Cybercamps: Locations available in many states around the country
Description: Cybercamps provides students with an opportunity to gain
excellent experiences with technology. Students spend time on
individual projects and taking courses in subjects such as game design,
flash animation, video production, robotics, web design, and 3D modeling.
Students also have the opportunity to spend time on outdoor activities,
meeting in special interest groups, and playing games.

Program: National Computer Camps: The camps are
held at Fairfield University, Oglethorpe University, Notre Dame College,
and Manhattan College.
Description: This programs provides students with excellent
opportunities to learn about various areas in the field of computer
technology. Courses are available in video game design, digital video
production, webpage design, computer languages, software applications,
preparation for the network + certification exam, and preparation for the A+
certification exam.
Participants: Students ages 8-18.

Program: Spotlight Series:
Locations available in many states around the country
Description: This program is a part of cybercamps, but includes
a specialized curriculum that provides students with unique course
experiences in areas including: 3D modeling for Games, Remix It, and
Video and Special FX. These courses are live workshops taught by
experts in the field. This program also has a multi-week track that
enables students to blend the spotlight series courses with other courses.
This provides students with the opportunity to learn a wide variety of
computer skills while also focusing on a particular area of interest.
Participants: 3D Modeling for Games: Ages 12 and older, Remix It:
Ages 10 and older, and Video and Special FX: Ages 10 and older

Program: Livewire: Walt Disney Resort in Florida
Description: This program enables students to customize
their own experiences while learning about the behind the scenes aspects of
Disney World and Epcot. Students have access to lab space in Epcott
and have the opportunity to work on a website, build a video, mash favorite
music, or hang out at Disney World. Participating students have
an all access pass to the Disney Theme Park.

Description: The Weekend Gamerz program provides teenagers with
the unique opportunity to have fun gaming with their peers while also
learning about various aspects of gaming. A variety of different games
are available for participants. There are 36 locations nationwide and
both day and residential options available.
